    Micro Niche Finder Review

    By racer48 | March 31, 2009

After spending hours on looking for new keywords for an affiliate product I was trying to market, I recently decided to look for a keyword search tool.  One product that was recommended by a “Bum” marketing specialist was called the Micro Niche Finder, which was created by James Jones.  This article reviews the Micro Niche Finder.

To be honest, the main reason I wanted to find a tool was because I was using a free online tool, but had to keep switching between windows and testing keywords in the Google search bar.  I may just be lazy, but this was taking a lot of my time up, and I was not sure that I was getting the best keywords that way.

I decided Micro Niche Finder was worth giving a shot.  I am not a fan of paying for products, but I figured that if the Micro Niche Finder could help to make one or two sales, then it would pay for itself.  So, I put down my $97 and downloaded the product to give it a test run.

After setting the Micro Niche Finder up, the user interface was relatively easy to figure out. Because I already had a product I wanted to promote, I simply put in a general search term in the search bar.  Like most keyword tools, the search returned a series of terms with search counts.

One slightly annoying thing was that I had to keep clicking on the “exact phrase count” for each search term.  After doing this for a couple hundred terms, I got temporally blocked from getting the exact phrase counts.  This was not really a flaw with Micro Niche Finder as it was with Google.  After reading the guide, I found that you could just select all the terms and click a button to get all the exact phrase counts instead of getting them one by one.  It also warned about getting blocked by Google.

I was a little unsure as to why this was called “Micro Niche Finder” until I read a part of the guide where it says to target keywords with 250 or more search counts and less than 10,000 exact phrase counts.  Thus, if you put in a search term such as “how to”, then you will be able to see what keywords are popular, but have little competition.  From there, you can further research that topic to come up with good keywords to promote.

In my opinion, the Micro Niche Finder basically does what it advertises itself as doing.  For the price, I think that it is worth the investment if only just to save some time.  I was not really blown away by it, but at the same time I was in no way disappointed by it. Granted, I may not be aware of other advanced strategies for finding keywords, but I was satisfied with the Micro Niche Finder.
