How To Write A Good Resource Box
By admin | July 11, 2009
Everyone knows the internet is the information highway, and there are many different reasons why people go online. Most people are looking for information, others are gambling, or looking at pictures, or connecting on social sites.
Regardless of any of this, the main reason why people go online is to source information. It is not anything new to the internet marketing community that article marketing is one of the most effective methods of getting your site within the first results on Google or the other search engines.
Article marketing is when you write a piece of about 500 words relating to the topic or website you are promoting. The article should be informative and interesting, and full of helpful content. Do not write an article simply to promote your site, if you want the reader to click on your link at the end of the resource box, you will need to provide them with informative content. Supplying them with what they believe to be helpful information will go a long way in getting them to click on the link in your resource box, because they will trust you!
So you are probably wondering what the resource box is, well it’s the short piece at the bottom of your article where you talk about who you are and which website you are promoting with your SEO efforts. There are no hard rules on what you can or cannot say in your resource box, but the important thing is that you include the necessary keywords. You will create a link to your website with the keywords using HTML. You obviously need to first conduct keyword research to ensure that there is a large search volume for the keyword. The resource box is short, and should be interesting enough that the person will be even more tempted to click the link after reading your article. Try not to make it sound like a sales pitch. This will probably be the most effective of all your internet marketing efforts.
