    Choosing a Free Website Rotator

    By racer48 | October 10, 2009

There are various possible uses for a free website rotator particularly for people who are in the business of selling products and/or services.  A rotator is a service that permits you to have a different web page displayed whenever a person clicks on a link that is provided for this purpose.  Every time a click is made, the next URL on the list is prepared by the free website rotator for the next click.  This strategy is really a must for those who have a hundred or 200 web pages to display because they would not need to create a hundred or 200 links for them.

Some ads are often presented with a free URL rotator along with the web page designated by the URL but these can be removed if you choose to get the paid service.  A more important factor that you would need to look into is the maximum number of URLs that you would be permitted to include in the list for the free website rotator.  It is often the case that the free website rotator provider will only permit you to have up to five web pages in the list, for example.  This could be a serious problem for you because  you would not want the tedious job of looking after several free website rotators if you have 100 or more URLs to promote.  Therefore, signing up for a free URL rotator that has no restrictions on the number URLs that can be included in the list is essential so that you will have have to manage only one rotator.

Another possible application for a free website rotator that may not have been considered often enough is the split testing of a website that permits you to test how a modification on a web page, such as the text color, could affect the site’s effectiveness.  For example, you may want to know what the effect of changing the color of the text on your web page from red to blue on the decision of visitors to take a certain action such as sign up for your newsletter.  You can create a web page where the text has the color blue and you then submit the URLs for the original web page and the modified web page to the free website rotator.  If the number of people who took the desired action is more for the new web page, you can then implement the change.  These are just a few of the possible applications of a free website rotator if you start applying your creative ability.
